Workplace First Aiders – CPR Trained

Ensure that your trained First Aiders in the workplace understand that Vinnie is only assisting those that have NOT received First Aid Training.

The UK Resuscitation Council still advocate that rescue breaths combined with chest compressions is the ‘gold’ standard. Hands only CPR should be carried out by UNTRAINED BYSTANDERS until help arrives, but those have been trained in CPR should continue to perform rescue breaths and chest compressions, unless there is a valid reason why rescue breaths cannot be carried out or achieved.

Carry out your First Aid Risk Assessments for your workplace so that you meet the legal requirements.
